Hi! I’m Mooyoung (Daniel) Kim, a product designer who believes great UX starts with really understanding what people need, delivering it in a thoughtful way, and making everyday life feel just a little easier. That’s the kind of designer I try to be.

I’ve been the first designer at early stage startups like Vitaon, Hallo, and PLASK AI, where I built design systems, shaped end to end product flows, and helped turn big ideas into real, user friendly experiences. I’ve worked on everything from personalized health quizzes to motion capture tools, always with a focus on clarity, craft, and impact. I’ve also helped launch fintech features at Splitwise, including Splitwise Pay and the Splitwise Card, during an exciting high growth chapter.

I was born in South Korea and grew up across different parts of China, which taught me how to see things from more than one angle and connect with all kinds of people. Outside of work, you’ll probably find me singing, gaming, cooking, or sketching something just for fun. And yes, I run on good music and Coke Zero.
